Finding Unique Tea Experiences in Texas
This year OPERATION TEA TIME was held in San Antonio for wounded troops and their families at the Brooke Army Medical Center. Gracious Donations came in for 3rd Annual Soldiers Tea on May 16th for wounded soldiers, care givers, medical staff and volunteers were treated to a reprieve of afternoon tea and sweets by Deborah Bonelli and volunteers. Many thanks to business donations from The Cultured Cup, Norbu Enterprises, Ambrosia Tea Room, Five Twelve College Tea House, Walters Bay, Chantal Teapot Corporation, Love Your Neighborhood Calendars, Java Coffee and Tea, Keria Teas, Tea Embassy, TeaBlessings.com and Sweet Leaf Tea for sending in tea product donation for the troops. It was a memorable occasion for all, see you next year.
Afternoon Tea
Some of the earliest memories of afternoon tea come from the Victorian-era grandmothers. Besides their daily ritual of tea at four o'clock, they would open their home during the holidays to the entire congregation for tea, such a special treat. As they would "pour" at teatime, the gracious women made pleasant conversation with her guests. It was the perfect time to be treated like a Queen when the elegant ceremony was performed. Today, we continue this English tradition for you - thanks for the friendship, Tea blessings in 2009.
